Our Story
Welcome to No Cartoon - one stop platform for finding screen-free activities for kids started by a group of four little kids - Vedant Goel (7 years), Kyara Sheth (8 years), Kavya Shah (8 years) and Shourya Sheth (7 years). One of the days while the four kids were together and they listened to the words “No cartoon” from their moms and watched the struggle, effort, confusion & research of their moms in finding productive activities for them, one of them suggested “let’s start a website nocartoon.com where numerous activities for children could be found easily”. What followed was houseful of ideas by all the four kids. And bammm - No Cartoon was born. And as it's said, the rest is history.
The mothers of these kids being Engineers, Chartered Accountants & Website Designers, loved the idea and did a quick feasibility check of the idea with the help of their kids and the result looked positive. While the kids were super excited about the idea and wanting to build something, as working mothers, the execution of the idea seemed challenging. The kids stepped in again and said that they would lead the project with just little guidance, little time and little hand holding from them during their free time. They said that we can make a community of fellow moms and their other kids to put together a directory of learning & entertainment services and also spread the word among everyone. The journey started from there and within two months, we got ready with the current version of the website (as on 14th November 2022). Our vision is help you tap the infinite potential within your child, the very sentiment that our logo resonates with.
Why No Cartoon.com
Most households with kids are acquainted with phrases like , “no more screen”, “just 5 minutes more of TV”, “turn off the device", “please, some more cartoon”, etc., etc! With the increasing use of smartphones & gadgets clubbed with easy access, minimizing screen time for kids is one of the biggest challenges faced by majority parents of the current times. One research report suggests that around 60% kids spend more than 3 hours watching TV/ mobiles daily. To add to it, the pandemic pushed us all indoors, and further increased our dependability on screens.
All parents try their best to constructively engage young children, but let us say it - it ain’t an easy task! Screen addiction is on a rise, but it is true that kids equally enjoy & learn if they are engaged in off-screen activities. And that is exactly where No Cartoon helps the community. No Cartoon a single platform which lists numerous activities covering all spheres of growth and learning from classes, to expert services & products, for children. We believe in taking the circle of close-knit mothers a notch up and share experiences for the betterment of others.
No Cartoon was born out of the need to have a ready reckoner or one stop aggregator where numerous activities for children could be found. A trusted source rather than a blind web search is a qualitative approach of selection. No Cartoon augments learning & fun experiences for young ones. Be it a hobby or a professional skill to hone, our listings have all of it. We provide parents and children an easy search for centers/ classes/ trainers and more within the vicinity of their choice systematically categorised into 15+ categories and 100+ activities !
Currently, we plan to provide extensive listing in the city of Mumbai and then expand to other cities.
